Artist in Residence Program at Casamarles

This program aims to facilitate the production of initiatives with a clear focus on the social realm and the context of Llorenc del Penedes and its institutions, fomenting the idea of artists as researcher and collaborator. The 6 months AIR CM Program will focus in the development of contextual and collaborative practices based on the public realm (workshops, screenings, lectures, interventions, etc.). As part of the program there will be a facilitator living in the house that will act as the local agent. The organization will propose trips and constant meetings to discus the development of the different projects and will act as support and promoter of the initiatives.

AIR CM will include four participants. The program will offer living and working space in CM with all expenses paid (trip, meals, rent, bills and studio) and use of all its facilities including library, patio and spacious individual rooms.

At the end of their stay all the participants will be asked to document in CM Blog their experiences. This document can be of any sort and length.

CASAMARLES is well aware of the importance of the promotion of the participants in its program. It is for this reason that the artists and researchers will have a permanent space in its blog/web site. Furthermore CASAMARLES is working on the possibility to organize an AIR CM annual exhibition in the village and in Barcelona.
